Mid-South Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery is a veterinarian-owned practice in Tioga, Texas, serving performance horse owners, trainers, and breeders throughout North Texas and the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. We diagnose and treat the lameness and soft tissue injuries that keep good horses out of the ring, with imaging and surgical capability most practices in this region don't have.
Diagnostic Imaging
On-site digital radiography and diagnostic ultrasound, with results available while your horse is still here. Imaging choice is driven by what tissue we need to see, not by what's available.
Regenerative Therapies
PRP, IRAP, stem cell, bone marrow concentrate, A2M, and Renovo for tendon, ligament, and joint injuries. Every regenerative case starts with imaging, because these treatments only work when they're placed in the right structure.
General Health & Wellness
Gastroscopy for ulcers, upper airway endoscopy, dynamic exercising scope, vaccinations, and deworming based on fecal egg counts. The dynamic scope images the airway under exercise, catching problems a resting scope miss entirely.

Lameness Evaluation
A complete workup: static exam, dynamic gait evaluation, objective gait analysis with Lameness Locator, and diagnostic nerve and joint blocks to localize the problem to a specific region. Blocking is the step that separates a diagnosis from a guess.
Standing MRI & Bone Scan
Welcome to our state-of-the-art facility, the only one within a two-hour radius of Tioga offering standing MRI, traditional MRI, and nuclear scintigraphy for horses. Our standing MRI procedure eliminates the need for general anesthesia, ensuring a safer and more comfortable experience for your equine companion.
